The Rex has been a Saigon institution for decades. U.S. military officers and advisors like General Westmoreland stayed there during the Vietnam War, and now thousands of tourists each year do the same. Rooms are large and well-equipped, the building houses several restaurants and gift shops, and the hotel is centrally located next door to City Hall and a small park.
The rooftop bar, a great place to enjoy a cool drink outdoors, is directly behind the crown at the top of the building.
