We hadn't really planned to stop in Amsterdam, but after a flight-scheduling fiasco at the Venice airport we had no choice. So we tried to make the most of our 12 hours there, including an early-morning walk around the Dam area. The "coffee shops" don't sell coffee (or anything else) in the morning, though.
