On clear days you can see the Himalayas north of Kathmandu. Pollution has become a serious problem in the Kathmandu Valley, however, and a brown haze often limits visibility.

Kathmandu has hundreds of these circular structures. I don't know what they're called, but they look like a cross between the Boudnath-style stupas and northern India's Mughal structures.
