The temple of Krishna Mandir, in the Kathmandu Valley town of Patan.

Made entirely of stone, this 17th-century temple is considered the first instance of the Shikhara style of architecture, which combined southern Indian influences with the multi-level Mughal style of northern India. There are many images of the Hindu gods Shiva and Vishnu inside, but only Hindus may enter the temple to see them.
