Hurricane Katrina

This section of mahugh.com includes many photos that I took of Hurricane Katrina's impact on Southern Mississippi. These photos were all taken between September 3 and September 7, while Megan and I were staying at Melba's home in Gulfport and helping out in whatever way we could.

The picture in the middle below was taken by Megan, and shows me photographing the destroyed homes of Bay St. Louis. Beach Boulevard was a waterfront road lined with large expensive homes, and they were all destroyed by the storm surge of Hurricane Katrina. This was the most devastated area we saw, and the home below was typical of the level of damage that every home on Beach Boulevard experienced.
