Saturday was the day the Riverfront Park gondola ride re-opened, so we decided to check it out. There was about a 15-minute wait when we arrived at 7:00PM, and they were giving away souvenir pieces of the original U.S. Pavillion roof from the 1974 World's Fair to everyone in line. (The U.S. Pavillion had been tiled with a graphic of the Riverfront Park gondolas.) It's $6 for an adult, which is a bit much for such a short ride — from the park across from Riverpark Square to just beyond the Monroe Street bridge and back — but it offers views you can't get any other way.
