The view out our hotel window one hot hazy afternoon in New Delhi. We met several residents of Delhi who talked about the pollution problem, and they seemed to almost have a perverse pride in Delhi's ranking as the #1 or #2 (behind Mexico City) most polluted city in the world, much like New Yorkers who brag about the crime rate.
The structure in the left half of the picture is India Gate, an archway built to commemorate the soldiers who died in World War I and the Afghan War of 1919.
