At 5:00 a.m., while we waited for the sun to rise over the pond known as Srah Srang, a young boy fished with a net, trying to catch breakfast for his family. This pool is 1200 feet wide and 2500 feet long, and it was where the king bathed with his hundreds of concubines each morning, back in the glory days of Angkor (around 1100AD).
