Hi, my name is Doug Mahugh, and I live in Seattle, Washington.

About This Site

Mahugh.com is my personal web site, which started out as Mia's Web Site on enteract.com back in 1996. (Mia was my dog at the time.)

This site used to function primarily as a photo album, to share photos with friends and family. But now I post my pictures on Flickr, so Mahugh.com is just a repository for various historical content on my blog, and there's no longer an interface here for browsing the content.

All content on Mahugh.com is Copyright © 1996-2009 by Doug Mahugh, but feel free to use any photo for non-commercial purposes as long as you include a credit and a link to Mahugh.com. No commercial use without written permission.

About Me

I work for Microsoft as Lead Standards Professional on the Office Interoperability team, and I have a work blog where I participate in discussions of document format interoperability topics. I'm currently a member of Ecma TC45, INCITS V1, SC34 Working Group 4 (IS29500 maintenance), and the OASIS ODF technical committee.

Prior to joining Microsoft in 2005, I spent most of my career working for my own company, Second City Software, which developed custom systems for clients in the Chicago area. My clients included Ernst & Young, KPMG Peat Marwick, Chicago Board of Trade, Helene Curtis, The Marmon Group, Allstate Motor Club, Chicago Data Storage Systems, Motorola, Waste Management, Klein Tool, and various small businesses including DAA Northwest, where I worked as IS Manager from 2000 to 2005.
